To be completed the next time I open this site--which is not easy to do. I want to join the Breakfast Club this morning, a rare opportunity. I wonder if these entries can be accessed again to complete!
I made it! scampered thru shoes, juice, bathroom, gum and jacket. and the coffee was good; so was the company--Leah, George, Pearl, Alan. the co\rn muffin was much too big but I ate it all. I am a bit mad that once the Cafe opens for breakfast I will pay for coffee after 9:30--profit motive in full operation. I dn't often get a chance to chat with Leah so this was pleasant.
I have duly noted my new password on a file of my blog which I unearthed. I should be able to open my blog for entry much more easily.
summer seem sto have eased my list of must -do's. The Lamont lecture arrangements are almost complete; I just have to send Mr Lamont directions to Watermark. REtta and I have cooled it re Special Interst lectures since there is so little money available to pay our speakers. Betweeen the opera and Go Green lots to keep me busy. I would like to see our next project focus on saving water but how induce the other residents to moderate their use of water? Some have dishwashers, others have washers and dryers--and "they are paying for the water--". So are we all! REtta and I are sort of stymied re the race to lower our electric bills--Applewood got its, but no other building. MIchelle has agreed to help but how? and can her info be trusted? the lady is captive of Watermark overlords. The light just went on: the audited financials are now available. So I can look at the expenditure to CL&P for last year and contrast with ensuing years. How comparable are they?
nothing more to blather or complain about--so adios my blog, requiescat in pace! miriamne

The New Year has arrived, with great expectations from our new president--poor guy! I wonder if he now regrets havng taken on this large and dysfunctional country. And I wonder how much longer I can hang out with the Writers program. For the next few months I will be busy filling out tax related papers and catching up with my opera stuff, which badly needs some tender loving care and writing up. My stories are rather stale, tho some of them are good, of their kind. I remain very strapped--very careful abut what I spend, but I really need so little!
Winter is hard this year in CT. it is colder than usual and snowier, making getting around to shop very difficult. I have to make sure with each errand that I take care of all that is on my list. Wish there was a toilet in the car!
I am recovering from a tummy virus rampant in the Health Care Center--which is where I picked it up on a visit to Alice Gross. The upchucking is long over but the very mild diarrhea lingers on--loud farts, lots of burping, and some colored gas emissions--altogether not very pleasant. I realized this yesterday and began to reduce intake of salads, prunes, etc. altho the movements were welcome on some level, they became a bit messay and I feared that hemorroids were emerging, a dire prospect. Today, after a day of easing off the greens, I feel a it better and there seems to be less gas.
Dan is ill now, on an antibiotic--hope it is not bronchitis! and I hope some movement on the job front begins this week.
that is it for the new year--can it only get better? Ha. Mim
